True-Curved Smartphone LG G Flex Set for Global Launch Next Week: Report

Consumer electronics giant, LG is reportedly prepping stage for the global launch of the company's flagship bendable phone G Flex next week.

Chinese website 3G.cn has reported that LG has begun sending out invites for the G Flex launch event at Hong Kong on 3 December, where the company will spell out details regarding the availability of the flagship flexible phone in the international markets.

Apart from Hong Kong, G Flex is also expected to release in France and some select European markets next month, and in US via network carriers AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile in early 2014, reported UnwireView.

As of now, there is no official word on when LG would launch G Flex in India.

Launched in late October in South Korea, G Flex has received rave reviews compared to the rival Samsung Galaxy Round. It sports an ergonomically designed vertical curved body with volume rockers and power buttons on the back cover like we see on the LG G2.

It flaunts 6.0-inch curved Plastic-OLED HD (720x1280p) display with pixel density of 245 ppi (pixels per inch) and runs on the Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS powered by Snapdragon 800 series CPU backed by Adreno 330 graphics engine, sumptuous  2GB RAM and 32GB flash memory.

Currently G-Flex is retailing in the home market for 999,990 KRW (South Korean Won), approximately ₹59,000 in Indian denomination.
