Three US marines are missing after their plane crashed into the sea near the Australian coast. Twenty-three others were rescued, with one person taken to hospital. Marine Corps called off the search and rescue mission for the three marines missing. Officials called weather conditions during the incident benign. The Osprey plane type has previously been involved in crashes killing and injuring crew.
