Barpeta, Aug 6 (ANI): Three militants of a separatist group, National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB), surrendered in Assam. The militants also handed over a cache of arms and ammunition to the police and paramilitary, Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). Deputy Superintendent of Police of Barpeta Police Station, B C Nath said one AK-56 rifle, one magazine, 17 rounds of ammunition, one 7.6mm pistol and two Chinese grenades were surrendered by the militants. The militants have been identified as Rajani Brahma, Sanjib Basumatari and B. Brahma. Nath informed the police were keeping a tight vigil ahead of Independence Day on August 15.
