Meerut, Sep 30 (ANI): Even as hundreds of paramilitary personnel are patrolling Meerut town in Uttar Pradesh after a large gathering called to protest against the arrest of BJP MLA Sangeet Som turned violent on Sunday, ending with clashes between villagers and the police, Meerut DM Navdeep Rinwa said that the current situation is under control and there is no report of fresh violence.
