Simmtronics, an Indian electronics company, has launched the Xpad X-720 Android tablet in India.

The tablet Xpad X-720 will soon be available in India for ₹4, 600.

The Indian tablet market is flooded with affordable tablet PCs with companies like DataWind, Karbonn, Pantel, and Micromax already releasing devices in that range.

DataWind's commercial variant UbiSlate 7Ci tablet matches spec-to-spec with Xpad X-720. The UbiSlate 7Ci tablet PC is priced at ₹4, 499.

These tablets are mainly aimed at the mobile youth and students. The devices carry the latest Android 4.0 OS which makes it compatible to almost all the apps in the market. The Xpad X-720 tablet comes with apps like Skype, Gtalk, Latitude, Maps, PDF file viewer, calendar, Google Play etc.

Simmtronics' latest offering runs on Android 4.0 OS Ice Cream Sandwich and is powered by Cortex A8 processor.
