There is a lot of crazy for expensive things people buy, but it has some sort of market value and use in the real world. We are talking everything from those high-end BMWs, Lamborghinis, Bugattis and Maseratis from the automobile industry to Sennheiser HE 1 headphones, which alone cost Rs. 45 lakhs. If these things seem way too expensive for what they offer, you clearly haven't seen this new phone by Vertu.

Vertu is a symbol of super-luxurious mobile phones and has a very niche market. The latest offering by this luxury phone maker will make you question everything that you once found over-priced. Vertu Signature Cobra is the company's latest offering and it's priced at a whopping Rs. 2,30,00,000. That's no typo! And, in case you are confused by the numerical expression, the value is Rs. 2.3 crore.

Now, like any sensible human, you'd be expecting a whole lot of smart features like Iris scanner, fingerprint sensor, top-notch display, super-fast processor and more, offered in the Signature Cobra. Hate to break it to you, but the Signature Cobra doesn't even support 4G LTE, let alone other features.

In simple terms, Vertu Signature Cobra is a Nokia 3310-rival with precious stones attached to it. A feature phone for Rs. 2.3 crore, that's right!

The only highlight of Vertu Signature Cobra besides its obnoxious pricing is that it has 439 rubies fitted in a cobra design in the front and 388 parts assembled in the UK. The eyes of the cobra have 2 emerald stones, and the entire phone is rich with other precious gems. Moreover, only eight of these phones will be ever made, so if you ever decide to buy it then you'll be one of the very few people in the world to own it.

The French jewellery brand said the Signature Cobra will be delivered in a helicopter, which would only mean speedy delivery for anyone who can afford it and nothing more (but wondering if Vertu will leave behind the helicopter after delivering the phone). One of the eight limited edition phones will be available in China via JD.com and pre-orders can be placed for ¥1,000 (around Rs. 10,000/ $145).

In case you're curious what the phone actually offers, we won't leave you hanging there. It has a 2-inch QVGA display with a resolution of 240x320 pixels, which is protected by unbreakable Sapphire crystal, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. There's a removable battery, which offers a talk time of less than 6 hours. We really don't want to compare the Signature Cobra with Nokia 3310 or even the iPhone 7 (by the way, you can buy 460 units of iPhone 7 for its price) in terms of how useful it really is.

We do not promise you the review of this phone, simply because we wouldn't know what to do with it other than count the precious gems and individually identify them for you. But we're sure you are not too curious to find that out.
