Gumla, Aug 12 (ANI): Government teachers in red corridor of Gumla district urged authorities to take tough measures against the Maoists who are responsible for instilling fear among tutors leading to the shut down of schools in the area. The teachers staged a protest in the wake of abduction and murder of two government school tutors, who were siblings in Gumla district of Jharkhand on August 10. Prakash Toppo, a teacher with the Ghaghra Bansari Middle School, while going to school was abducted on August 06. Consequently, the abductors made a phone call at Toppo's residence demanding ransom of four lakh rupees. His sister, Saroj Toppo, who was also a teacher at a school, went with the money to release her brother but to her ill fate she was also abducted and killed.
