New Delhi, July 29 (ANI): As the Modi government mulls over scrapping the collegium system for appointment of judges, politicos on Tuesday emphasized on the need for the judiciary's independence and balance in appointment of judges. The government on Monday consulted former chief justices of India and top jurists on the proposed Judicial Appointments Commission Bill, in a bid to scrap the present collegium system.
