Samsung's possible Galaxy S5 variant has been spotted at the benchmarking site revealing key specifications of the smartphone.
According to the popular benchmarking forum website Antutu, a mystery Samsung handset code-named SM-G900F features full HD (1080x1920p) display, Snapdragon chipset (MSM8974AC) with 2.45GHz CPU speed, Android v4.4 KitKat OS, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory, 16.0 megapixel camera and 2.0-megapixel front camera.
While most of the specifications disclosed are in line with previous rumours of Galaxy S5, the only anomaly is that the device's display resolution 1920x1080p and snapdragon 800 CPU are contradicting the much anticipated features 2K (2560x1440p) screen and 64-bit architecture based Exynos chipset. Perhaps this mystery handset is an affordable variant of Galaxy S5, as Samsung, a prolific manufacturer is known to churn out multiple variants of its flagship phone.
Case in point, South Korean company released as many as six different versions of its current marquee smartphone Galaxy S4 this year. [It includes Galaxy S4 LTE (with Snapdragon 800 Series CPU), Galaxy S4 3G (with Exynos 5 Octa-core chipset), Galaxy S4 Mini, Active, Zoom (with 20.0-megapixel retractable camera), Galaxy S4 LTE-Advance, Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition].
In related news, American network carrier AT & T is also reportedly carrying out tests on an international variant of Galaxy S5 (SM-G900S) with 2K display.
