A few weeks before Samsung's Galaxy S4 would hit stores of tier-1 markets like North America and Europe on 26 April, a new rumour has surfaced that the fourth-generation smartphone will also see a launch in India around the same time.

IBNLive in contact with a source having knowledge of Galaxy S4's India launch plans has revealed that Samsung will be officially launching its flagship smartphone in India on 25 April, and the device will be available for sale in local stores by 27 April.

The source also revealed that Galaxy S4 will be priced less than ₹40,000. The MRP rate is expected to around ₹42,000, which is less than the recently released HTC One (₹42,900) and iPhone 5 (45,500)

According to reports, certain online retailers in India such as Tradus.comeBay.in and Naaptol.com are already taking pre-orders for Galaxy S4, whereas IndiaTimes Shopping has listed the smartphone as 'Coming Soon' but is yet to begin the pre-order registration.

Samsung Galaxy S4 sports a 5.0-Super AMOLED display with an impressive pixel density of 441 pixels per inch and it runs on the latest Android mobile OS v4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

The India-bound Galaxy S4 version will a pack a 1.6 GHz Octa-core processor, whereas in other markets like US and UK, the device will house a quad-core processor with 1.9 GHz CPU speed.

One of the striking features of Samsung's flagship smartphone is its cameras. Galaxy S4 sports an impressive 13.0-megapixel rear camera, but the main attraction of the phone is its front camera with smart face recognition technology.

Thanks to Samsung's exclusive camera software such 'Smart Scroll' and 'Smart Pause', users' viewing experience has become almost effortless. Users are not required use their fingers to flick the screen up and down to go through content.

Galaxy S4's 2.0-megapixel front camera tracks facial movements to scroll through an email text or browse internet. If the user turns away while watching a video, the smartphone automatically pauses the video and resumes it when the user turns his attention to the screen.
