Being an actor is not an easy task as they have to get into the skin of the characters they portray. To become a successful actor, one has to learn quite a lot of new skills and at times new languages.

While Farhan Akhtar worked hard to play Milkha Singh in the sports biopic "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", Priyanka Chopra received a lot of accolades for turning herself into boxer MC Mary Kom for the blockbuster hit "Mary Kom".

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt, Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar and many other Bollywood celebs are also reportedly learning new skills to get into the skin of their characters in the upcoming films.

Alia Bhatt

For the upcoming film "Udta Punjab", Alia Bhatt will play the role of a hockey player and she is reportedly trying to learn the sport. Recently, she had also posted an image of a hockey stick on her Instagram profile, with the caption: "My New Friend". Alia will be seen opposite Shahid Kapoor in the film, which also stars Kareena Kapoor and Punjabi actor and singer Diljit Dosanjh in significant roles. The film will reportedly deal with the topic of drug addiction.

Deepika Padukone

"Bajirao Mastani" is one of the most anticipated movies of the year and the "Happy New Year" actress has been learning sword fight for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's dream project. Deepika will be seen opposite her alleged beau Ranveer Singh as his second wife Mastani and the film is set to hit screens on 25 December 2015.

Akshay Kumar

For the upcoming 2016 film "Airlift", Akshay Kumar will be seen as a UAE billionaire and is learning the Arabic language to deliver his dialogues properly. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the film also has Nimrat Kaur opposite the "Baby" actor. Earlier, it was reported that Akshay won't charge any remuneration for the film and instead will share 80% profit as his fees.

Salman Khan

Salman has reportedly been learning boxing and fencing for Sooraj Barjatya's next "Prem Ratan Dhan Payo". The film has Sonam Kapoor in the female lead role and is scheduled to release in Diwali 2015.

Shahid Kapoor

Shahid had recently posted a photo of him on a horse named Rocky with the caption, "Rocky and me, getting to know each other better #Shaandar." Shahid is learning horse riding for his upcoming Vikas Bahl directorial "Shaandaar", which is set to release on 4 September 2015. The film also has Alia Bhatt, Pankaj Kapur and Sanjay Kapoor in significant roles.

Sidharth Malhotra

"Brothers" will see Sidharth Malhotra and Akshay Kumar sharing screen space and the former is reportedly learning martial arts for his role. 

Aditya Roy Kapur

To play the character of an artist in the upcoming film "Fitoor", Aditya Roy Kapur is reportedly learning the techniques of sketching. Helmed by Abhishek Kapoor and produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur, "Fitoor" has Katrina Kaif in the female lead role and the film is based on Charles Dickens' "Great Expectations".
