The curtain raiser event of Rajinkanth's "Lingaa" is all set to take place in Hyderabad on Monday (8 December) evening. (Check Video Below)
The film's audio will be launched during the event to be held at Novotel in Hyderabad. The event will witness the presence of superstar Rajinikanth, Sonakshi Sinha and the rest of the cast and crew of "Lingaa." Megastar Chiranjeevi is expected to attend the grand event as well.
Composed by AR Rahman, "Lingaa" album has five tracks. Although "Lingaa" songs have been released in all three versions including Tamil, Telugu and Hindi, the curtain raiser event will mark formal Telugu audio launch.

The Tamil and Telugu versions of "Lingaa" will be releasing simultaneously on 12 December as a birthday treat for Rajinikanth fans. With just four days to go, there is huge excitement among the superstar fans. Expectations are high from the Rajini starrer, as the actor will be seen playing dual roles in the film touted to be a complete entertainer with all the commercial elements.
The film's trailer and the songs have generated a strong positive buzz surrounding the project. The Rajini starrer is set for a huge release worldwide. According to reports, the film will see a record release in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Kerala, USA, France and UK.
"Lingaa" is expected to take big openings on the first day of its release. However, it remains to be seen if the film will be able to set new records in terms of collections. The pre-release business of "Lingaa" has been fantastic considering the huge demand surrounding the film.
The film's audio rights have been acquired by Eros Music, while the satellite rights have been purchased by Jaya TV. "Lingaa" makers have reportedly secured an insurance cover of ₹200 crore for the film.
"Rajini sir's Lingaa has a higher production insurance cover than other films of south India. The film was also wrapped up in record time. They have covered loss of revenue overseas, since his films are very popular abroad," Sumant Salian, head of media and entertainment, Alliance Insurance Brokers, told Business Standard.
Directed by KS Ravi Kumar, "Lingaa" marks the Tamil debut of Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha. The film, set in pre-independent and post-independent eras, has Anushka Shetty, Santhanam, Karunakaran, Jagapathi Babu and Dev Gill in pivotal roles. Rockline Venkatesh has produced the film, while Eros International is distributing the Rajini starrer.
