The much-awaited music of the film "Kakki Sattai" is all set for release on the biggest day in Tamil cinema calendar this year.
The music director of the film Anirudh Ravichander announced on his Facebook Page that "Kakki Sattai" songs will go public on 12 December, the day "Linngaa" hits the screens.
"Hello! We were thinking to release our audio on the most auspicious day in December and waht else guys?!?!#Kakki Sattai album will release on #Lingaa Day 12-12-14 J Can't wait ," shared Anirudh on his Facebook page.
Earlier it was rumoured that the audio will release on 5 December but later postponed due to technical reasons.
The music of the film has been touted as highly "energetic." The film's team had earlier released the motion poster and the theme music of "Kakki Sattai" on 28 November, which had received rave reviews and was declared super hit.
The album of 'Kakki Sattai" is supposed to have a total of five songs, including a number sung by Sivakarthikeyan.
Anirudh and Sivakarthikeyan had earlier worked together for films like "Ethir Neechal" (2013) and "Maan Karate" (2014). The music of all these films went out to be super hit.
"Kakki Sattai" is directed by Durai Senthil Kumar and the film is touted as an action-comedy entertainer with all the commercial elements. This is the second time that Sivakarthikeyan has teamed up with director Durai Senthil Kumar after the blockbuster "Ethir Neechal."
Sivakarthikeyan will don the role of a police officer for the first time in "Kakki Sattai" and Sri Divya will play the lead opposite him. The rest of the cast includes Prabhu, Manobala, Vidyulekha Raman, Imman Annachi and Vijay Raaz.
The script of the film has been written by Durai Senthil Kumar and Pattukottai Prabhakar.
The film's cinematography is handled by Sukumar and editing by Vivek Harshan. The film is being produced under the banner of Dhanush's Wunderbar Films and will be distributed by Escape Artist Motion Pictures.
