Giridih, Nov 30 (ANI): The state police arrested a hardcore Maoist and recovered explosives along with arms and ammunition in Jharkhand. Acting on a tip-off, the Giridih police sent a team to hunt the dreaded Maoist and nabbed him immediately. The Superintendent of Police (SP), Giridih, Kranti Kumar said that the nabbed Maoist had been identified as Dinesh Manjhi and was a hardcore leader and platoon commander of a Maoist organization in Jharkhand. The Maoist was pasting posters for boycotting the state elections. He had been involved in many Naxal incidents of Jharkhand. Explosives, materials for making bomb and arms have been obtained from the Maoist. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since 1960s.
