Brisbane, Nov 16 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met German Chancellor Angela Merkel in Brisbane. Merkel has stated that she looked forward to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to her nation, adding that the bilateral relations between New Delhi and Berlin were deepening, on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit meeting. On Saturday, Prime Minister Modi had a packed schedule besides, having a meeting with leaders from the BRICS, he had a one-on-one meeting with leaders from France, Canada and Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit. After attending the Summit in Brisbane, Prime Minister Modi is scheduled to travel to Sydney, where he will attend a community reception and address the Indian Diaspora. Prime Minister Modi will then travel to Canberra and address the special joint sitting of the Australian Parliament on November 18. He will also address a community event in Melbourne before travelling to Fiji.
