The long-awaited festive season has arrived and it is raining discounts across popular online marketplaces such as Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal.
To capitalise on the festive mood, Micromax's online-only sub-brand YU Televentures has announced an open sale of its affordable smartphone lineup comprising YU Yunique, Yureka Plus and Yuphoria for a limited time on Amazon India and Snapdeal.
YU's most affordable 4G HD smartphone, the Yunique, will be available in an open sale exclusively via Snapdeal on Monday, 12 October. However, if you are planning to buy YU's Yureka Plus and Yuphoria, the smartphones will be available without registrations during Amazon's Great Indian Festive Sale from 13 October to 17 October.
YU launched Yunique as the world's most affordable 4G HD smartphone. The handset boasts of a 4.7-inch 720p IPS display, 8-megapixel rear-facing camera with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash and a 2MP front snapper. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC, Adreno 306 GPU, 1GB RAM and 8GB expandable storage. The Yunique runs on stock Android 5.1 Lollipop and packs a 2,000mAh battery for 7 hours talk time. Yunique is available for Rs. 4,999 on Snapdeal.

The YU Yuphoria is also a budget device with slightly upgraded specs than the Yunique. It is powered by a 1.2GHz Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The handset sports a 5-inch HD IPS display, 8MP rear camera with LED flash and 5MP front snapper. Like the Yunique, the Yuphoria also supports 4G and packs a bigger 2,230mAh battery with quick charge tech. Yuphoria can be bought at a discounted price of Rs. 6,499 through Amazon.
If you are into big-screen phones, Yureka Plus offers a 5.5-inch Full HD display with upgraded octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, Adreno 405 GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. The camera is also upgraded to 13-megapixel and a 5MP selfie shooter. After a recent change, the Yureka Plus runs on Android 4.4.2 KitKat, which can be upgraded to Lollipop version. The Yureka Plus also sports a bigger 2,500mAh battery to offer 8 hours of talk time. You can purchase the handset for Rs. 8,999 on Amazon.
