Finish handset maker Nokia has released a budget 3G feature phone, Nokia 208, in the Indian market on Tuesday.
The new Nokia phone is now available at online retail shop Snapdeal for ₹5,299.
Nokia 208 sports a 2.4-inch QVGA (320x240p) LCD transmissive display having pixel density of 166 ppi (pixels per inch). It runs on the Nokia Series 40 interface with 64MB RAM and 256 inbuilt memory with options of expansion up to 32GB via microSD card.
The striking feature of this phone is that it supports 3.5G connectivity which allows users to stream and watch YouTube videos with ease. Thanks to pre-loaded Facebook and Twitter apps, users will also be able to post and exchange comments on-the-go.
The budget phone also boasts of an amazingly long battery life close to 20 days while on standby mode. It gives back-up close to 12 hours of 2G talk time and 4.5 hours in 3G mode.
The phone houses a 1.3-megapixel fixed focus camera having 2X digital zoom on the rear side with the capability of recording QVGA (320x240p) video at 15 fps speed. To enrich the photography experience, Nokia 208 features camera options such as Panorama (100-degree view), sequential shot mode as well as voice guides for clicking self portraits.
The company had first unveiled Nokia 208 (dual-SIM) along with its single-SIM variant and another budget device Nokia 207 in July this year. As of now, there is no word on when Nokia 207 would be launched in the market.
