New Delhi, Oct 28 (ANI): Transport minister Nitin Gadkari said on Tuesday that there is a need to bring Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in road infrastructure to meet international standards. Addressing a meeting of state transport ministers in New Delhi, he said India must undertake the advanced road network development planning as have been adopted by many advanced countries. He also emphasized upon bringing in e-governance to have a corruption-free system and developing multi-modal transport system. He welcomed suggestions on bringing down the number of road accidents on state and national highways.
