Steve Harvey announces the winner. Miss Universe 2016 winner is Miss France Iris Mittenaere. Pia Wurtzbach crowns Miss France Iris Mittenaere as the winner of Miss Universe 2016.

Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissier.is the first runner-up, while Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar is the second runner-up. The top six contestants are Miss France Iris Mittenaere, Miss Kenya Mary EstherWere, Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar, Miss Thailand Chalita Suansane, Miss Philippines Maxine Medina and Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissier.

9.33 pm ET: The top three finalists are asked one last questions. "Name something over the course of your life that you failed at and tell us what you learned from that experience," Steve Harvey asked the contestants.

9.25 pm ET: It's time to reveal the top three and the first contestant is Miss Colombia Andrea Tovar, Miss France Iris Mittenaere and Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissier.

9.14 pm ET: Question and Answer round begins

8.19 pm ET: After swimwear, contestants get ready for evening gown round. However, only nine contestants will walk on the stage showing their evening gown.

8.13 pm ET: The swimsuit competition begins. Contestants are looking stunning and confident in swimwears. 

7.59 pm ET: These 13 contestants will walk on the stage in swimsuits. Viewers can vote for their favourite contestant to make her win the crown. 

7.46 pm ET: And the top 13 contestants are...

Miss Thailand received 100 million votes thus making it to the top 13 semi-final rounds.

7.22 pm ET: Harvey is announcing the top 13 contestants. The 12 semi-finalists were decided on the scores of preliminary competitions, while the 13th lucky contestant made it to the list thanks to the public voting. The contestant received 100 million votes in just five days.

7.18 pm ET: Judges are here... contestants are here and so is the host Steve Harvey and Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach. Harvey remembered the blunder that happened last year when he mistakenly crowned Miss Columbia as the winner.

Pia talks about her journey as Miss Universe and thanked Harvey for making her the most popular Miss Universe. Harvey too thanked her for making him the most popular host, thanks to the blunder.

7.05 pm ET: Contestants walk on the stage, as Tramar Dillard, known as Flo Rida, performs. All the 86 contestants are looking gorgeous and confident.

6.49 pm ET: Red carpet event ends and it is time for the Miss Universe 2016 to begin. Who will be the new Miss Universe?

6 pm ET: Miss Universe 2016 has begun in the Philippines with Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach walking down the red carpet

In just a few hours, the world will get the new Miss Universe. The Miss Universe 2016 will be crowned at the Mall of Asia Arena in Manila, the Philippines, live on Monday morning.

Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach will crown one among the 86 contestants on Sunday, which will be aired live on the official pages of Miss Universe. The event will start with the red carpet at 6 pm ET, followed by the grand finale at 7 pm ET.

The grand finale will be hosted by Steve Harvey, who will be joined by feature role model and body activist Ashley Graham as backstage host. Former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen, Dayanara Torres, Mickey Boardman, Francine LeFrak, Cynthia Bailey and Leila Lopes will judge the finale.

Miss Diva 2016 Roshmitha Harimurthy is representing India at the Miss Universe 2016 platform.
