Gumla, Nov 5 (ANI): In a brazen attack, Maoists in Gumla district of Jharkhand have gunned down seven people. Police said that a group of heavily-armed red rebels of the People's Liberation Front of India (PLFI) ambushed the SUV in which the seven persons were travelling near Gumla district. He added the attack created panic amongst the villagers and additional security forces have been deployed by the district administration. Maoists, also known as Naxals, have killed police and politicians, and targeted government buildings and railway tracks in an insurgency that has killed thousands since 1960s.
