Nani's Majnu opened to good response and made decent collection at the worldwide box office on the following days. But the film has failed to cross the mark of Rs 30 crore gross in the global market.

Majnu is one of most hyped Telugu movies of 2016 and it was expected to open big and make superb collection at the worldwide box office. The film was to become the highest grossing film for Nani, beating the record of Bhale Bhale Magadivoy, which grossed Rs 50.05 crore (Rs 27.11 crore share) in the global market in its life time.

The Nani-starrer movie was released in a record number of cinema halls across globe on September 23 and received good response everywhere. Majnu has collected Rs 28.40 crore gross at the worldwide box office in 35 days. The movie is estimated to have earned Rs 15.30 crore for its distributors.

Majnu is a romantic comedy-drama, which has been written and directed by Virinchi Varma and produced by Geetha Golla and P Kiran under the banners Anandi Art Creations and Keva Movies. Nani and Anu Emmanuel have played the lead roles in the movie, while Priya Shri, Vennela Kishore, Posani Krishna Murali, Saptagiri, Satya Krishnan and Raj Tarun appeared in the supporting cast.

Majnu has been made with a budget of Rs 15 crore and its global theatrical rights were sold for a whopping amount of Rs 18 crore. The movie has managed to recover 85% investment to its distributors so far. Here are the area-wise distributors' shares.
