It is no secret that Mahindra is testing its mini-SUV codenamed S101 in India. The model has been caught on camera quite a number of times. Now, a fresh batch image of Mahindra S101 has hit the web, this time showing the model with its production-specific tail lights.

Caught on camera by Team BHP, the prototype of the S101 seems to have shed a lot of camouflage. From the images, it is now easy to figure out the overall body proportion of Mahindra S101 and one may add the rear end of the S101 shares similarities with the Renault Kwid.

But little else is known about the features and styling of Mahindra S101. Information available so far suggests the model will be powered by the company's new engine line-up. Mahindra is readying seven new engines to power its future vehicles. The engines include 1.2 litre diesel and petrol motors, 1.6 litre diesel and petrol units, 1.5-litre diesel and there is also a 1.5 litre petrol and a 1.0-litre petrol engine. The Mahindra S101 could also get an AMT variant.

The model is expected to make its India debut by the end of this year or early next year and is likely to include features such as anti-lock braking system, electronic brake-force distribution, four airbags and electronic stability programme.
