LG G2 with Snapdragon 800 Series Quad-Core Processor Goes up for Sale in India, Priced ₹40,499

LG flagship phablet G2, which is expected to get launched next week, has made its debut online in India.

E-retailer Saholic has begun selling the LG G2 handset for ₹40,499 and claims that the delivery of the device will take place by 30 September, the very same day LG is reportedly holding a press event to officially release its flagship device in India.

After the new LG phablet made its global debut little over a month ago in New York City, it has been released in South Korea, US and UK (pre-orders have opened). Now India has become one of the select countries to receive the LG G2.  

The 5.2-inch LG G2 phablet flaunts an 8.9 mm thick body with a power button and volume rockers, which are quite unorthodoxly placed on its back panel, just below the main camera. It sports True-IPS full HD (1920x1080p) LCD screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 shield. Its display boasts of a staggering 423 ppi (pixels per inch) resolutions.

Under the hood, it packs 2.26GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 series quad-core chipset paired with Adreno 330 Adreno graphics engine and ships with Android v4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS, 2GB RAM and 32GB RAM, which is enough to run processor-intensive games and applications.

LG G2 houses a stunning 13.0-megapixel main camera and a 2.1-megapixel camera on the front side. The main camera's specifications include LED flash, OIS (Optical Image Stabilizations), HDR (High Dynamic Range), full HD 1080p video recording at 60 fps speed capability, 8X zoom, multi-point AF (Auto-focus) and more.

With the device being priced at ₹40,499, LG is certain to get a head start in price-sensitive markets like India. LG rivals, Sony and Samsung, recently launched their smartphones, Xperia Z1 and Galaxy Note 3, for ₹44,990 and ₹49,900, respectively.
