New Delhi, Feb 25 (ANI): Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari defending the BJP government's land acquisition ordinance called it "farmer friendly" and said that the government is "open minded" for any suggestions. He said that the government will not make any compromise on compensation and rehabilitation of farmers. Gadkari added that the land acquired will be used for rural infrastructure projects like irrigation and roads which will prove helpful for the rural population. He further stated that the central government does not intend to acquire any land for the private sector or for the corporate sector.
