"Kumari 21F" has got a fantastic opening and done good collection at the worldwide box office on its first day. It has beaten other new releases like Kamal Haasan's "Cheekati Rajyam" and "Spectre".

Before its release, "Kumari 21F" had huge hype and promotion, which helped it record decent advance booking. The movie released in around 500 screens across the globe on 20 November and debuted with an average of 80% occupancy. As per early estimates, the film has grossed approximately Rs 3 crore at the worldwide box office on the first day. Its distributors' share stands at Rs 2+ crore.

The bosses of Abhishek Pictures, which is one of the distributors of the films, are very happy with the viewers' response for the movie on its opening day. They have all thanks for the audience. On the official Twitter page of the production house, they wrote, "#Kumari21F BLOCKBUSTER HIT!!! Thank you for the overwhelming response. @ThisIsDSP @RathnaveluDop @SukumarWritings."

They claim that "Kumari 21F" got a share of Rs 56,69,014 to its distributors of the film Krishna, Guntur, Nellore, Godavari East and West on the first day. A post on the Twitter page of Abhishek Pictures reads:

"Kumari 21F" has got an average opening in North America, but its business is much bigger than "Cheekati Rajyam". The movie is estimated to have collected $27,153 from 80 screens at the US box office on the first, while the Kamal Haasan starrer grossed $2,280 from 21 screens.

"Cheekati Rajyam" had very good amount of advance booking for its opening day, but it had very limited release, with 250 screens across the globe. The movie ran to packed houses and is estimated to have grossed Rs 1.50+ crore at the worldwide box office on the first day. Its distributors' share stands at Rs 1 crore.

Daniel Craig's latest James bond movie titled "Spectre" released in English, Hindi and Telugu in around 100+ cinema halls across Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The movie had decent advance booking and it has done decent collection at the box office on the first day. As per early estimates, the movie has grossed Rs 50+ lakh.
