After the massive success of Telugu action film "Janatha Garage," director Koratala Siva has reportedly hiked remuneration for his next directorial venture featuring superstar Mahesh Babu in the lead role.

Koratala Siva began his career as a scriptwriter with Ravi Teja's "Bhadra" in 2005. Later, he went to write scripts and dialogues for "Munna" (2007), "Okkadunnadu" (2007), "Simha" (2010), "Brindavanam" (2010) and "Oosaravelli" (2011). He made his debut as a director with Prabhas' "Mirchi," which was a big hit at the box office. Koratala Siva's success had led to a flood of several big-ticket offers in Tollywood.

The director chose to work with Mahesh Babu in "Srimanthudu" and reportedly charged Rs. 5 crore for the project, which went to become the second-highest earning Telugu film after "Baahubali." Following this success, Koratala Siva had hiked his payment by 100 per cent and reportedly took Rs. 10 crore for Junior NTR's "Janatha Garage," which has gone on to become another blockbuster success in 11 days.

Koratala Siva has scored a hat-trick with "Janatha Garage". His success graph has also soured confidence of producers, who are now ready to invest any amount on him. The latest buzz in the industry is that the director has raised his payment by 30 per cent for his next film. Koratala Siva will be working with Mahesh Babu in his next directorial venture. According to reports, he is reportedly charging Rs. 15 crore.

It is a common trend in film industries that actors and directors hike their remuneration after delivering a hit film. There are some directors in Tollywood, who have done over 10 movies and some of them are hits, but they are still struggling to get Rs. 5 crore as their remuneration. However, this three-film-old director has reached peaks and become the second-highest paid Telugu director after SS Rajamouli.

Koratala Siva has already prepared the script for Mahesh Babu's film and he is expected to give final touches to it after a small break. This project will be produced by DVV Danayya under the banner DVV Entertainments. Koratala Siva will take care of two departments - writing and direction besides assuring the film's success.
