Director Sanjay Gupta's Bollywood movie "Jazbaa" (jazba) starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi in the lead roles, has garnered positive reviews from the audience across the globe.

"Jazbaa" is an action-drama film and besides direction, Sanjay Gupta has also penned script for the film in association with Robin Bhatt. The movie has been creating ripples in the media, ever since it was announced. The biggest reason for the huge hype surrounding the film is that it marks the comeback of actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who is returning to acting after being on sabbatical for five years.
Anuradha Verma is a prominent criminal lawyer. Her daughter is abducted and the abductor demands her to defend a rapist and murderer of a young woman to get her daughter released. Her friend Yohan, a suspended cop, comes to help her. The abductor watches every move of hers and makes sure that he is not caught by the police. The prosecutor is a longtime rival of Anuradha and he is determined to defeat her. How she saves her daughter will form the crux of the story.
The audiences, who have watched Jazbaa, say that interesting story and engrossing screenplay are the main highlights of the movie. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has done superb performance in the film, which is a perfect comeback for her. Irrfan Khan and Shabana Azmi's performance are also among the good assets of the film, which has decent production values, add the viewers.

Sanjay Gupta has managed to get a solid supporting cast for #Jazbaa High on drama, lot of unnecessary shots of cars screeching, really over the top dialogues. First half of #Jazbaa is just like its trailer. Some poignant scenes do question society's attitude towards rape victims. #Jazbaa So many scenes look like they have been edited with Instagram filters. #Jazbaa Melodramatic to the core, #Jazbaa scores only because of the performances. Aishwarya Rai grunts and screeches on some scenes but manages to deliver a convincing performance. #Jazbaa does deliver a strong message about how our legal system time and again fails to deliver justice on time.
