The supporting cast is chosen carefully and worked fairly well. Tamil actress Roja,Anumol, Neeraj Madhav, Joy Mathew, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Sudheer Karamana, Muthumani, Saju Navodaya, Rajasree Nair, Renji Panicker, Aju Varghese, and Maniyanpillai Raju gave their best to the movie's tone and mood."

Mammootty's 'Utopiayile Rajavu' Review: Live Audience Response

"Director Thomas Sebastian is in full form and successfully executes his script without losing the audience at any point. Kunchacko Boban is at his yearly best and looks fit in the role of Vasoottan. Debutante Gayathri Suresh justifies the director's decision to cast her as Parvathy. Cinematography and music are cooked deliciously keeping the audience in a festive mood to celebrate."

Pepper Media Creation

"Jamna Pyari is well executed by the director Thomas Sebastian and the brilliant script of P R Arun also helped him to treat this movie, which is based upon the life of some village people, an extraordinary flick. As usual the simplicity of the hero Kunchacko Boban helps the movie to be a festival hit and the flexibility of the actor will also be noted again by the film industry. The comedy track lead by Suraj Venjaramoodu and Neeraj Madhav is the highlight of the movie. The festival song of Tamil Nadu is simply superb and it is a good dance number.

"The debutante heroine Gayathri Suresh proved that she is very essential to the Malayalam film industry and her role of Pavathri was very safe in her hands. Gayathri Suresh' s performance is as that of an experienced actress and Renji Paniker, Joy Mathew, Neeraj Madhav, Anumol etc all did their best in this comedy entertainer.

"In short, Kunchacko Boban' s Jamna Pyari is a simple and feel good family entertainer that we cannot afford to miss in this festival season."

Onlookers Media

"The film is made as a complete festival entertainer with all elements like comedy, romance, action etc and has come up without boasting about anything. The music scored by Gopi Sundar is not awesome but gelled with the mood of the film. The heroine of the film the new face Gayathri Suresh also excelled with her performance. But Kunchacko Boban was the real highlight of the film with his energetic performance.

"But the film is not up to the mark. Neither it is excellent in it's execution nor a disappointing movie. The lack of depth in the basic plot was the reason for that. It had an above average first half with some good comedy numbers but when it came to the second half, the film began to sink and at last ended in a predictable and not so thrilling climax."

Moviesmatinee -  3.75/5

"Some Lagging scenes are there in the first half and the director and editor are fail to trim the scenes. DOP also get good marks for JamnaPyari .Altogether Kunchakko Boban and Thomas Sebastian success and they given a family movie for the audience for this onam . If you love to watch a Family comedy movie for this onam season we suggest JamnaPyari.

"On the whole the film is just a onetime watch for the fans of Kunchacko Boban or for the people who like feel good entertainers."

Saj Media

"Its a light hearted movie with little bit of humour. The protagonist do feel love for the heroine but this aspect gets a hidden feel in the overall scheme of things. The drama that unfold towards the end doesn't excite much to give a completely satisfying experience.

"Overall, Jamna Pyari is an attempt to come up with a light hearted humorous movie but it backfired due to a wafer thin storyline that cannot hold on together for the complete running time."
