Mumbai, May 2 (ANI): As a lead up to International Dance day, Bollywood choreographer, Sandip Soparkarr, organised a Dance Week and invited all dance lovers and enthusiasts to show some moves and grooves, in India's entertainment capital, Mumbai. The week- long celebrations prior to International Dance Day celebrated on April 29 every year culminated with some special performances by Bollywood celebs. The organiser of the event, Bollywood choreographer, Sandip Soparrkar, said that the event was the first of its kind in the country. Each day was dedicated to one form of dance; there were shows, competitions, interactive sessions and performances. From folk dance to classical dances like Bharatnatyam, Kathak, Odissi and the Classic Russian Ballet, Salsa, Cha Cha Cha, Samba, Rumba, Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Jazz and Funk dances, one can celebrate everything. Veteran Bollywood choreographer, Saroj Khan, who inaugurated the event said that such events give a boost to art forms like dance and she was happy to be a part of it. The unique dance event was indeed an unforgettable event for all dance lovers and enthusiasts who had an enthralling experience all together.
