New Delhi, May 23 (ANI): India expressed concern over military coup in Thailand on Friday and hoped for an urgent political resolution and restoration of normalcy based on the principles of democracy, will of the people and rule of the law.Thailand army chief General Prayuth Chan-ocha set out his plans for the country on Friday, a day after seizing power in a coup, saying reforms were needed before an election can be held and enlisting the help of the civil service. India's foreign ministry spokesperson, Syed Akbaruddin, said that New Delhi was closely monitoring the evolving situation. India has also advised its troops to return home.
