Honor, a subsidiary of Huawei, launched its new flagship smartphone, dubbed as the Honor 8, in Beijing.

The highlight of the new Honor 8 is its camera hardware. It boasts two 12MP cameras placed beside each other on the back, with f/2.2 aperture, laser autofocus, dual-tone LED flash, BSI CMOS sensor and full HD video recording ability.

The additional camera sensor, besides the main camera module of the device, will be used to capture detailed depth information of the scene, enabling the user to re-focus on objects in the photos through a photo application. The dual-camera design also guarantees more light absorption, resulting in crisp and detailed capturing of the image.

On the front, it houses an 8MP snapper with f/2.4 aperture, which is enough to get a decent selfie.

The Honor 8 flaunts an all-metal cover with finger-print sensor on the back and sports a 5.2-inch full HD display. It comes with Android Marshmallow OS powered by Huawei's proprietary HiSilicon Kirin 950 octa-core processor with 3GB/4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB inbuilt storage and a 3,000mAh battery with quick charge technology.
