HTC's new dual-SIM smartphone Desire U has finally set its foot into the Indian market after more than four months of its global unveiling at Taiwan in late January this year.

Popular online store Flipkart has listed the new HTC smartphone for ₹13,499.

HTC Desire U sports a 4.0-inch WVGA Super LCD screen with 800x480p display resolution and it is powered by a 1GHz single-core processor with 512MB RAM, 4GB inbuilt memory which can be further expanded to 32GB through a microSD card support.

Considering its price point, HTC Desire U has two drawbacks - it runs on an older Android mobile OS v4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and it lacks secondary camera on the front. In comparison, other smartphones from domestic and MNC brands which fall in the same price range come with the new Android Jelly Bean OS out-of-box and at least a 0.3-megapixel VGA camera.
