The result of Himachal Pradesh University's Management Aptitude Test (MAT) will be declared on July 7 at 4 p.m. Those who clear the written exam will reach the interview and discussion round. Students who clear these will be given admission to the Himachal Pradesh University Business School.

The HPU Business School was established in 1970. It offers a mentorship programme for management students. Two to three students of the batch are placed under one alumnus for guidance. Under the mentorship programme, students are engaged in personality development activities, projects from industry to make mentees aware of industrial practices, and programmes to enhance technical skills, business models, case studies, etc. 

There were four sections in the written exam — English comprehension, reasoning, business environment and arithmetic comprehension and data interpretation. Each section was worth 50 marks.

The Himachal Pradesh University offers both MBA and Doctoral programme in management. Students who have cleared the UGC-JRF/NET can apply for the PhD programme. 

The business school was hailed as the Outstanding B-School North by National Education Awards by ABP news Pvt Ltd. for both 2015 and 2016. 

The written exam was conducted in Shimla, Solan, Dharamshala, Hamirpur, Mandi, Una, Palampur and Chandigarh, according to India Today.
