New Delhi/Amritsar, Nov 17 (ANI): Sikh devotees revelled in the festive spirit as they congregated at the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Sunday to mark the celebrations of the 545-birth anniversary of the founder of Sikhism, Guru Nanak Dev. Golden Temple, also known as Harminder Sahib, the most important Sikh shrine in the world was illuminated with colourful lights on this occasion. The 'Jalao' was displayed which included the display of precious jewellery and articles, ornamental pieces studded with precious stones, diamonds, jewels, pearls, and bejewelled canopy. Every year, thousands of Sikh devotees from across the world throng the revered shrine, the Golden Temple and take holy dip on the occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti.
