Goa, Nov 14 (ANI): Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar visited a shipyard in coastal state of Goa to check the defence preparedness of the yard on Friday. Parrikar, resigned as Goa chief minister last week to take up the new post as defence minister. According to reports, he flew economy class on a budget airline to his home state Goa. Meanwhile, he said he wanted to see how the shipyard is functioning. Parrikar took over the new portfolio after Prime Minister Narendra Modi beefed up his cabinet on November 09, adding a total of 21 new names into his team.
