After months of delay, Cyanogen has finally released the new Cyanogen OS 12 (Android 5.0 Lollipop) to OnePlus One smartphone via OTA (Over-The-Air).
"The 'L' update has been a labor of love for many of us here, with major contributions from the CyanogenMod open source community. Go ahead and treat yourself to Cyanogen OS 12," said the company on the official blog post.
The new Cyanogen OS 12 brings all the new features of Lollipop such as material design elements of visual, motion, interaction design, and graphic animation.
In addition to these features, Cyanogen, for the first time has integrated new email app powered by Boxer. It brings multiple account support, exchange support and canned responses for quick replies. Other customisations include sound alerts (bells or whistles), option to select different LED colour display for email notifications and many more.
The update has been made available to global variants as well as the India region-specific models, reported AndroidOS.in.
How to Install Cyanogen OS 12 (Android 5.0 Lollipop) update on OnePlus One smartphones via OTA [Over-The-Air]:
If OnePlus One owners are getting the update notifications, then select - "Yes, I'm in" option >> then, after downloading, select >> "Install now." The phone will restart automatically and the OS will be updated to the new version.
users can also check manually on the smartphone by going to – 'Settings' >> 'About phone' >> 'System update' >> 'Check Now';
