San Francisco-based technology startup Nextbit has slashed the price of the company's flagship smartphone Robin across all regions.

Nextbit Robin was originally launched in the United States for $399 (around €354/Rs. 26,603) and just a month ago in India for Rs. 19,999.

Now, the company has reduced the price of Nextbit Robin to $299 and waived off delivery charges as well. Earlier, based on the region of residence, buyers had to cough up additional shipping charges. Indians had to pay an extra $70 (roughly Rs. 4,667) to get it delivered.

"We didn't think it was fair that only fans in India and the US got to purchase Robin at a great price. So we're lowering the price of Robin on Nextbit.com to $299 for everyone. As long as we ship there, you'll get Robin at a great price. And to make the offer even sweeter, we made standard shipping free too. Did you already know that?," Nextbit official blog administrator said in a statement.

Users will get free 100GB cloud storage and the phone, whenever connected to Wi-Fi internet, automatically syncs (with encryption) apps, videos, images and other forms of data into the cloud storage. The company has incorporated a light system with four LEDs on the device's back with a cloud image to indicate the phone is undergoing syncing process.

As far as hardware is concerned, Nextbit Robin boasts 5.2-inch full HD IPS LCD screen, Android Marshmallow-based custom Nextbit OS, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 32GB inbuilt memory and a 2680mAh battery.
