Imphal, Sep 06 (ANI): NDA government deployed additional forces in strife torn northeastern Manipur state in wake of the road blockade called by a Naga group. Home Ministry rushed additional forces to assist the local administration and a top official to take stock of the rising tension. The additional paramilitary forces were sent to Manipur to be deployed along the national and state highways to ensure law and order in the state. Earlier, Rajnath Singh had reviewed the situation with Chief Minister Okram Ibobi Singh and discussed preventive measures to ameliorate hardship of the people of Manipur. Special secretary of internal security, Prakash Mishra hold talks with the State government apart from making a direct assessment of the situation prevailing in the state.
