National award-winning filmmaker, Madhur Bhandarkar, lauded Sehgal's contribution towards Bollywood and Hollywood. Paying tribute to Sehgal, Bollywood actor, Raza Murad, praised her for her great contribution to Indian cinema. Bollywood's noted lyricist and script writer, Javed Akhtar, praised Sehgal for her extraordinary performance in cinema and theatre.
