Bobby Simha and Reshmi Menon have got engaged on Sunday in a private guest house in Mylapore in Chennai, on Sunday, 8 November.

The actors' engagement ceremony was attended by their close friends and relatives. Siddharth, Karunakaran and many others reportedly graced the event.

It is a love-cum arranged marriage. Initially, Reshmi Menon's parents were not happy with the alliance and they had some objections. However, the timely intervention of common friends like director Karthick Subbaraj convinced them and they bride's family gave green signal for the marriage.

The couple is expected to tie the knot in January 2016. The wedding date is not revealed yet.

Bobby Simha, who made his debut in the 2012 film "Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi", rose to fame with his performance in "Soodhu Kavvum" and "Neram". He later established himself as one of the most talented actors of Tamil cinema when he won the National Award for his role as 'Assault' Sethu in "Jigarthanda".

Reshmi Menon made her debut in the 2010 film "Inidhu Inidhu" and has appeared in "Theneer Viduthi" and "Burma".

Their next movie "Urumeen" is ready to hit the screens.
