Here's some seemingly sad news for Ilayathalapathy fans. The first look of his forthcoming film, which is currently called "Vijay 59", was supposed to be released for Diwali. But now, the plans have reportedly changed.

Yes, the first look of "Vijay 59" will not be released for Diwali. The makers are reportedly not keen on it as the festival time is packed with first-look releases. Also, two big releases — "Vedalam" and "Thoongavanam" — are hitting the screens. Hence, the poster release has been delayed.

However, fans of Vijay ought not fret, as the first look of "Vijay 59" will be released a week after the festival. The exact date has not been revealed yet. The official name of the film will be announced along with the first-look release.

The makers have been considering a lot of names for the film. "Khaki" is in serious contention, say sources. Names like "Vettri", "Moondru Mugam", "Sathyamurthy IPS" and "Chatriyan" were discussed, but in the end the makers opted for "Khaki" as Vijay plays the role of a cop.

The title "Khaki" was already registered by some other filmmaker, and this seems to have caused the delay in the title announcement, as the makers of "Vijay 59" have to take necessary permissions from the person and authorities concerned.

Atlee Kumar, who has directed only one movie so far — "Raja Rani" — has got the opportunity of a lifetime of working with Vijay in his second film. The young filmmaker was a former associate of AR Murugadoss, and it is safe to say he director knows what Ilayathalapathy fans expect in his films.

Amy Jackson and Samantha, who had played Vijay's love interest in "Kaththi", are the female leads in the "Vijay 59", which is being bankrolled by Kalaipuli S Thanu. It has GV Prakash Kumar's music, Anthony's editing and George C Williams' cinematography.
