Chennai/ New Delhi, May 25 (ANI): Tamilians took to streets against invitation to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa by the Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi for his swearing-in ceremony. Protesters say the move has hurt the sentiments of people as well as victims of alleged war crimes. Supporters of May 17 Movement staged a protest on Sunday in Chennai against Rajapaksa who will be attending Modi's oath ceremony on Monday. Students and cadres expressed their dissatisfaction and demanded that India should move a resolution against Sri Lanka at United Nations Human Rights Council for its alleged war crimes against Lankan Tamils. Meanwhile, protests were held in New Delhi’s famed agitation site of Jantar Mantar on Sunday by the Tamil Youth forum.
