The makers of "Bengal Tiger" and "Shankarabharanam" have postponed their release dates to pave way for Akhil Akkineni's film "Akhil: The Power of Jua".
"Akhil: The Power of Jua" is socio-fantasy film, which is written by Veligonda Srinivas, directed by VV Vinayak and produced by actor Nithiin and his father Sudhakar Reddy. This movie is one of most hyped and highly awaited Telugu movies, as it marks the debut of Nagarjuna's younger son Akhil Akkineni as hero.
The film was initially slated to release in theatres on 22 October, but its release was postponed due to the delay in graphics work. On 15 October, Nithin confirmed the news about its delay on his Twitter page and also apologised for the same. "Due to delay in graphics work v r unable to release AKHIL on oct22nd..sorry for the delay..will announce the new release date soon..sorry.." he tweeted.
On 1 November, both Nithiin and Akhil Akkineni revealed the new release date of "Akhil: The Power of Jua". The producer tweeted, "AKHIL all set for a grand worldwide release on NOV 11th.." The debutant also tweeted, "My friends ! I can't tell you how much happiness it gives me to say this. #Akhil will be releasing November 11th."
Initially, "Bengal Tiger" and "Shankarabharanam" were scheduled to be released in theatres across the globe on 5 and 11 November respectively. Both are big ticket movies and have got huge hype. Their promos have generated a lot curiosity among the film goers, which was likely to affect the collection of "Akhil: The Power of Jua" that has been made on a whopping budget of Rs 45 crore.
The producers of "Bengal Tiger" have now postponed its release to 27 November two weeks after "Akhil: The Power of Jua" hits the screens. They have said that they have delayed the release of the Ravi Teja starrer by two weeks to give room for Akhil Akkineni's debut movie.
Nikhil Siddhartha, the hero of "Shankarabharanam" wished success to Nithin and Akhil. On 1 November, the actor tweeted, "Wishing 2 ppl I really like nd always wish well for @AkhilAkkineni8 @actor_nithiin all the best for 11th Nov. Wishing u a Big Blockbuster :) I knw how much effort u have put into the movie... U hav a great Movie in hand. Time 2 blast the BoxOffice this 11th"
Meanwhile, Nikhil Siddhartha â€confirmed the news about postponing "Shankarabharanam" and its new release date. He tweeted, "Guys ShankaraBharanam is Locked for this Month NOV 20th.. CENSOR in a cpl of days frm now... Nd RELEASE DATE posters will be up frm tomorrow."
