Salman Khan's "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" showed 33% jump in domestic box-office collection on the second day.

Since it was a pre-Eid release, the film earned approximately ₹27.26 crore on opening day at the box office. However, on Saturday the business went up drastically due to Eid holiday across the country.

Kabir Khan's directorial film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" earned ₹36.5 crore on Saturday, ie on second day at the domestic box office, taking its overall total to ₹63.75 crore.

The two-day total of Salman's latest release is higher than his last release 'Kick". Last Eid release "Kick" earned ₹53.65 crore (₹26.5 crore + ₹27.15 crore). "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" two days total is also higher than the highest grosser Bollywood film "PK" starring Aamir Khan.

"PK" earned ₹26.63 crore on Friday and ₹30.34 crore on Saturday.

"#BajrangiBhaijaan Fri 27.25 cr, Sat 36.50 cr [Eid]. Total: ₹ 63.75 cr. FANTABULOUS... Should surpass #Kick opening weekend biz: ₹ 83.83 cr," trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" will beat "Kick" opening weekend total with its third-day box-office collection. But it remains to be seen whether "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" will cross ₹100 crore mark in its initial days.

Meanwhile, trade analysts are expecting a bigger Sunday for "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" due to holiday. Since reviews are positive and the word-of-mouth is strong, the film should witness tremendous jump in its third-day business.

"Bajrangi Bhaijaan" two days total is highest for 2015 in terms of Bollywood films, but when compared to SS Rajamouli's "Baahubali - the Beginning" (Bahubali) the total is far less.

"Baahubali" minted approximately ₹50 crore on second day and it crossed ₹100 crore mark in just two days.

Starring Salman, the film also features Kareena Kapoor Khan, Harshaali Malhotra and Nawazuddin Siddiqui in pivotal roles. The film was released on 17 July in 4,500 screens in India.
