The audio of Vijay's Bairavaa was launched on Tuesday, 20 December, after the songs from the movie was leaked online following some technical issues. The makers have unveiled the numbers on iTunes and YouTube. [Listen to the songs below]
The music was supposed to hit the stores on Friday, 23 December. "We are feeling extremely bad. Due to some technical issues on iTunes, #Bairavaa album went live. We took it down as soon as we noticed it. [sic]" Lahari Music, the official audio rights holder of Bairavaa, tweeted following the leak.
"As iTunes office is shut down for few weeks, they made live as per previous audio release date though we sent the new updated date via mail. We are trying our best to make live all lyrical videos asap. Thank you for all the support Ilayathalapathy fans," Lahari Music added it further tweets.
Two audio clippings from Bairavaa were doing the rounds on WhatsApp. A 1.29-minute clip from Varlaam Varlaam Vaa song and another 1.31-minute clip from Papa Papa tracks made it to the internet.
In recent times, there have been instances where the promotional materials from Vijay's films have unofficially hit the internet. It may be recalled that the teaser of Puli and first-look posters of Theri and Bairavaa were also leaked.
The audio of Bairavaa is composed by Santhosh Narayanan. The movie has five songs for which Vijay, Benny Dayal, Haricharan, Vijaynarain, Dharshana KT, Priyadarshini and Arunraja Kamaraj have lent their voices. Vairamuthu has penned the songs.
The music of Bairavaa is one of the most-awaited albums of the year. The film marks the first union of Santhosh Narayanan with Vijay. This is for the first time that Narayanan is composing music for an Ilayathalapathy film. Hence, expectations are sky high.
Bairavaa is an action movie, written and directed by Bharathan. The film, which has Keerthy Suresh in the female lead, will be out on 12 January.
