New Delhi, Sept 16 (ANI): Minister for Development of Northeast Region, General Vijay Kumar Singh, said that development of the northeast region was a concern. Addressing a news conference in New Delhi, General Singh said development takes time and his ministry was reviewing the development projects operational in the region. The ministry is planning to establish national skill development council and calling in experts to provide skill development in northeast. Meanwhile, the minister said the Northeast Councils (NECs) could play a vital role in pushing the developmental model. Meanwhile, Power Minister, Piyush Goyal, also held a news conference in the national capital and stressed on special focus on northeastern states.
