The long-wait for the new avatar of Audi's flagship SUV Q7 is finally getting over. The premium car maker Audi will pull the wraps off its new Q7 in India on 10 December at an event in New Delhi.

Audi Q7 facelift, the new iteration of the SUV, will be brought to India as CBU initially and the company will start the assembly at the Aurangabad plant from early 2016. To be pitted against the likes of the Volvo XC90, the powertrain of new Audi Q7 get Audi's 3.0-litre, V6 diesel engine that can churn out 270bhp of power and 601Nm of torque.

The engine, which will come with 8-speed automatic transmission along with the Quattro all-wheel-drive technology, can break the 100kmph mark in 6.3 second and has a top speed of 230kmph.

From a visual stand point, the new Q7 gets new and bolder grille with newly designed headlamps, LED tail-lamps and tweaked bumpers at the front and back. The SUV is 37mm shorter and 15mm narrower than the previous car. Audi has increased 21mm between the first and second row of seats and has a 295 litre boot.

The cabin of new Q7 also gets the upmarket touch with new features like leather seats with electric adjustment, Internet, rear seat entertainment with 3D surround sound and new infotainment system.
