Considering the key specs mentioned above, Liquid E1 makes a good mid-range smartphone in Acer's mobile device portfolio. The company, known for its PCs and laptops, had been making smartphone for quite some time now, but none of its handsets had gained global recognition like its PC models.

This time, Acer's Liquid E1 is expected to turn fortunes around for the company's mobile division which has been churning out smartphones since 2010.

Acer has not revealed the price or the date of availability of Liquid E1, but it is expected to show-off the new smartphone at the upcoming international mobile convention MWC (Mobile World Congress) 2013 due in February.
