Update: 00:25 IST: Apple's new iPhones will go on pre-order on Sept. 9 and hit stores in select markets on Sept. 16. Both iOS 10 and WatchOS 3.0 will be released on Sept. 13.

Update: 00: 20 IST: Apple iPhone 7 and 7 Plus come with 32GB, 128GB and 256GB storage variants. Price of the smaller 4.7-inch model starts at $649, whereas the bigger 5.5-inch model comes with a price tag of $769. They will also be available via installments -- iPhone 7 Plus costs $32 a month, whereas iPhone 7 can be grabbed for $27 a month.

Update: 00:15 IST: Apple iPhone 7 series are powered by high capacity battery.

Update: 00:08 IST: Apple iPhone 7 comes with an A10 Fusion CPU. It has a 64-bit 4-core. dual-core processors which is  40 percent faster than the A9. Other two cores are "high efficiency" and use 1/5 power to save batter life of the device and graphics processor is 50 percent faster than the A9 CPU.

Update: 00:05 IST: In addition to Apple's AirPods, the company also announced three new wireless Beat series earphones -- wireless. 40 hours of listening time, Powerbeats 3 Wireless headphones and Beats X.

Update: 23:56 IST: As rumoured earlier, Apple's iPhone 7 series don't have 3.5mm audio jack. Users can now listen to music on wireless AirPods. It features Apple's in-house built W1 chip and can play music for five hours in a single charge.

Update: 23:48 IST: Apple's iPhone 7 Plus mounts an additional camera on the back with depth of field capability, but this feature will be made available on through software update next month.

Update: 23:41 IST: Apple's iPhone 7 (4.7-inch) has a 12MP camera with Optical Image Stabilisation, ture tone quad LED flash on the back and upgraded 7MP FaceTime front camera.

Update: 23:35 IST: Almost all the rumours have turned true. The new iPhone 7 series is water-proof, comes with touch-sensitive home button and available in Jet Black, Black, Gold, Rose Gold and Silver colours.

Update: 23:30 IST: Now, Cook is back on stage and there you have it --  the new iPhone 7 series is now finally official. The best iPhone series ever designed by the company, claims Cook.

Update: 23:24 IST: Apple's new Watch series including Nike+ model will cost $369 a piece and the upgraded Watch Series 1 (with dual-core) is priced at $269. They can be pre-ordered from Sept. 9 and go on sale on Sept. 16. The Nike+ model will be made available in late October.

Update: 22:30 IST: Apple's special Sept. 7 event officially kicks off. Tim Cook takes stage.

We are just few minutes away before Apple takes the wraps off the new iPhone series in San Francisco. The company's CEO Tim Cook is set to make his key note speech at 10 am PDT (10.30 pm IST) at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium.

The company will be streaming the launch programme online. There is one caveat though, only select people will be able to watch the event as the live streaming uses Apple's HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. HLS requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later, or a PC with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires an Apple TV (2nd or 3rd generation) with software 6.2 or later or an Apple TV (4th generation).

Apple iPhone 7: What we know so far

From what we have gathered so far, the new iPhone 7 is expected to come in two models — a generic iPhone 7 (4.7-inch) and a high-end model iPhone 7 Plus (5.5-inch).

Both the variants are certain to come in full-metal body with cosmetic alteration and improved 3D Touch feature, upgraded internal hardware including faster CPU, bigger battery, higher RAM capacity and enhanced camera module over their predecessors.

Apple Watch 2: What we know so far

New Apple Watch 2 is expected come packed with a 16nm-based CPU with faster clock rate compared to its predecessor. It will come with inbuilt GPS for navigation, barometer to measure atmospheric pressure, higher capacity battery and superior waterproofing, so that it will be able to survive underwater for longer time.
