After rolling out the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to some of its devices like the One M9, One M8 Dual SIM and One A9, HTC appears to be working on making the firmware available to other eligible devices too.

HTC hasn't announced the Android 6.0-6.0.1 Marshmallow update schedule for its devices so far, but leaks have claimed that at least a couple of devices will receive the firmware in the next few weeks.

Popular leakster LlabTooFeR ‏@LlabTooFeR has tweeted that HTC Desire EYE will seed Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow along with the Sense 7.0 update to the Desire EYE in Europe next month, without revealing the exact details.

Interestingly, the same source had earlier claimed in a tweet that the Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow update with Sense 7.0 will be rolled out to HTC Desire EYE later this year. Now, it has said that the firmware update will happen soon, in a matter of weeks.

LlabTooFeR had also tweeted on Feb. 23 that HTC Desire 816 will receive Google's new firmware within two weeks. So, the firmware could be rolled out to the device anytime from now, if the claims are anything to go by.
